Our Occupational Therapists understand that it can be difficult for a patient to adjust immediately after hospital discharge, an injury or a major surgical procedure. Some patients may even lose a certain degree of independence but that doesn’t mean you cannot regain your self-care skills.
Occupational Therapists will provide you or your loved one at home with the valuable assistance and training when it comes to regaining your self-care skills and work skills. The therapy plan will be tailored to your needs and may include but is not limited to:
- Assessing Client’s Home Environment for Safety
- Pain Management
- Traumatic Brain Injury Therapy
- Fitting of Prosthetics for Amputations
- Restoring Sensation and Sensory Function
- Occupational Therapy Equipment Training
- Exercises in Restoring Work Skills
- Management of Primary Lymphedema
